No internet at home...
Excuse me for letting you guys waiting but as you can read above, I don't have internet at home and I am working hard. This means little time for updating my blog. Actually I am in luck because I work here. The problem is that the UFMG server was overloaded and it broke down. Luckily the LEC as it's own wifi network, so I can update you about my situation here.
But I started working and thusfar everything is going great. Sometimes I have to be a bit creative with finding solutions (and ways of communication XD) but that is alright. I like working here. I am starting to talk more Portuguese and that means communication becomes easier and I can create a better bond with my colleagues. Today I also had my first Portuguese test (as some of you probably read on fb) and it was easy. I think the classes are too easy, so I started studying on my own. And with that I receive more than enough help from my Brazilian colleagues and friends. It is a good thing that not all of them speak English.
As some of you maybe already know, I want to do my masters here. So I need to learn a lot more and I am hoping that the test is only written. Writing is way easier than presenting or talking. But I am afraid not. Luckily I already know some of the professors :)
My work is going great, as I said, and see myself living here for the period of my masters. Of course I will return (if I have enough money) to my family in summer (or winter in the northern part of the world). I miss them and I hope the server is fixed fast but we are in Brazil, so I cannot say anything about it XD.
