Fala Português comigo... ;)

This week I started lab work with a colleague. I am doing research on biodiesel but, unfortunately, I can't give you more substantive information. But I can tell about the differences on the lab and working atmosphere. To start, here it is much more relaxed. It doesn't mean that people aren't working hard, on the contrary. The people here are very dedicated to the job and it is not uncommon to work extra hours, just to finish the job. The relationship between students/interns and professors is also very different. There is hierarchy but the relationship is more like a friendship. The students respect the professor, of course, but when something is bothering you or when you don't feel well, the professors help you with everything.
I will also tell you about the Portuguese classes I follow. Personally, I think it is a little too basic for me but maybe it is a good thing. We will see. I have to repeat all the conjugations again, the last time I practiced this was HAVO 3 (2010-2011)... Long time ago. If you want to learn Portuguese, or a new language in general, I suggest you reread this notes, if you didn't ritually burn them XD.
I added a page where I will post Portuguese words every Monday until Friday. And maybe a few phrases ;). I am warning you, if you really want to learn a new language, it is important to practice (in front of the mirror) and be dedicated. But it is possible :). For the sequel of this story I refer to the other page: Palavras em Português. Até mais!
